Iron and Air Systems

Warranty

All Iron and Air work is covered by Australian Consumer Law statutory guarantees. Manufacturer warranties pass through to you in full.

Australian Consumer Law statement

Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure. For services, you are entitled to cancel the service contract and to a refund for the unused portion, or to compensation for its reduced value. The benefits given by this warranty are in addition to other rights and remedies under a law in relation to the goods or services to which this warranty relates.

Manufacturer warranties

Equipment installed by Iron and Air carries the manufacturer's warranty in full. We do not act as a warranty intermediary, serial numbers, purchase dates, and registration paperwork are provided at handover so any future warranty claim can be made directly with the manufacturer.

Manufacturer warranty terms vary by product, brand, and generation. The current warranty terms applicable to your specific equipment are confirmed in writing at point of quote and again at handover.

Claim assistance

Iron and Air provides warranty claim assistance for 12 months post-installation at no charge. If a manufacturer-covered issue arises within this period, we'll help prepare and submit the warranty claim, coordinate replacement, and reinstall the replacement unit. After 12 months, claim assistance is available at standard hourly rates.

What's not covered

  • Damage from misuse, modification, or third-party tampering.
  • Damage from acts of nature outside reasonable system design (lightning strikes, flood).
  • Software or firmware issues caused by user changes to the system after handover.
  • Performance changes due to environmental factors not disclosed at quote (excessive shading on solar, salt spray on un-rated marine equipment, etc.).

Disputes

If you believe Iron and Air work is not meeting the standard set out in the Australian Consumer Law, contact us first in writing. Most issues are resolved directly. Where direct resolution isn't possible, the Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal (QCAT) provides low-cost dispute resolution.

Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law are not excluded, restricted, or modified.
